New Paper: Producing rice while conserving the habitat of an endangered waterbird: Incentives for farmers to integrate water management

It feels so good to see this new paper published in Land Use Policy. It’s all about incentives for rice growers to manage their crops in a bittern-friendly way. It includes an assessment of in-kind contributions, growers’ motivations, and their preferences for a wide range of aspects of incentive programs. Such information can be crucial in designing succesful incentive programs, and the present bittern-friendly rice growing incentive program with Riverina Local Land Services was built on this work. Click on the below link to the paper and if you’d like a full copy of the pdf then please email info@bitternsinrice.com.au
